5th Ward Mural Project: Greater Lengths
In conjunction with the Mayor's SPARK Park program, artists from ArtworkZ produced this 350 sq. ft colored tile mosaic mural to commemorate 12 alumni of the historic education center. The school, which is over 40 years old, was founded by African American scholar Prof. E.O.Smith. In memory of E.O. Smith and other community leaders that have passed through the doors of this school, the artists designed and produced mosaic portraits of the selected alumni and icons that coincide with each individual's career field.
